What a stunning automobile! Just think back when these cars were made, most everyone could get something like that. Starting with the 58 Chevrolet Impala, Pontiac Bonneville, Oldsmobile 88, Buick special. These were all works of art. Riding in one of those was like riding in your living room. these were the cars that were on the road back then .❤

Back in 1976, the 5 car was in the museum at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I used to work next door to Dick Hutcherson, went to lunch with him a few times. I always wanted to ask him what it was like to drive that car. I never got around to it. Ironically, his number when he raced stock cars was 29. He had been a team driver for Holman Moody, then later the crew chief for David Pearson's number 17 car.

What's interesting is the next gen was supposed to be the next big thing for NASCAR, man was it a huge downgrade compared to this 😂

This isn't a car, it's a beautiful piece of art. Love the lowered roof and the grille from a '58 Buick is a nice touch.

My dad had one of these with a 396FE motor and he used to race the 💩out of it. I can't tell you how many times in my childhood I feared for my life in that car 🤣. He blew it up racing a Barracuda and then sold it.
